Kingswood United Typhoons start their first season in the Hull and District Youth League.

I became involved with Kingswood after trying to find a team for my son, After being turned down from one team I was told about the Kingswood United soccer school and decided to take my son along one Saturday morning, he loved every minute of it and was even awarded trainer of the week.
I was informed that without parents stepping forward there unfortunately would be no team and I was saddened to see so many kids that would potentially not be able to join in with the upcoming season, so I took myself down to the club meeting to get some information on becoming a coach and what is required and decided to take the leap of faith.
Coaching kids football is something totally new to me and believe me is completely different to my job in management at a holiday homes manufacturing company. After helping out at a few sessions on a Saturday morning I got a group of 8 year old lads together to form a team. I have since completed the FA level 1 coaching and love being part of giving kids the opportunity to play football and seeing the enjoyment they take away from it and seeing the become great friends.
