A Week in the Life of KUFC #15

In the fifteenth edition of our weekly blog, here’s everything that our teams got up to:

Soccer School:

Led by coach Paul, there was an excellent Saturday soccer school session at Kinloss. The children showed their ball mastery skills and developed an understanding of teamwork.

Wildcats/Squad Girls:

On Wednesday night, the Wildcats and Squad Girls hosted another fantastic bring a friend session at Kinloss. They saw a total of 38 girls come along and all of them enjoyed the session. The individual trophies were handed out to Isabelle R, Libby, Sophie, Charley, Clara and Esmae.

U7:

Our Piranhas put in an outstanding performance against FC Esperanza 2034 on Sunday. After working on defensive and passing elements in the warm up, the boys took it into the game. Felix and Freddie both picked up MOTM trophies.

Meanwhile, the Cobras brought their first ever season to an end as they took on FC Esperanza 2033 at Kinloss. They all put in a massive shift and enjoyed their football. Alfie and Freddie secured individual accolades.

U8:

On Saturday, the Moonstones had two exceptional games and worked really well as a team. The girls always had a smile on their faces and had lots of fun. Matilda and Ava-Grace were handed POTM awards.

The Lionesses ended their season with games against AFC Tickton and Hull United. They exhibited outstanding displays in both encounters and showed how far they’ve come as a team. Congrats to Betsy and Ava on receiving the POTM awards.

In addition to this, our Hawks took part in a play on the pitch tournament at Elland Road. The team enjoyed a very exciting day and now have plenty of memories made to last a lifetime.

The Harriers enjoyed a great day in the sun on Sunday as they faced Hessle Rangers Colts. The teams had two terrific games filled with lots of entertaining football and contests all over the pitch. Kristupas, Toby and Seth all took home MOTM awards.

U9:

Our Pearls played against Hessle Rangers in midweek. They put in a brilliant performance and Bella and Halle received the POTM awards. They then faced AFC Preston at Kinloss in their final league game of the campaign on Saturday. The girls were made to battle hard, but they all dug in and played some excellent football. Vivienne and Nancy both accrued POTM trophies.

The following day, the Leopards played their last league game of the season against Great Driffield Blues. The sides played out two great matches which contained lots of entertaining football. Well done to Jenson on being named as the MOTM.

U10:

On Saturday, the Krystals had their last league game of the campaign away at Chanterlands GFC. In hot conditions, the girls showcased some great football and put into practice what they worked on in training. Eliza and Tallulah both received POTM trophies.

Our Kings took part in a great tournament at Haworth Park last weekend. All the boys had an amazing experience and they’re looking forward to the next tournament.

U11:

The Storms took part in their first tournament of the year last weekend and had an excellent runout. They put in some brilliant team performances and emerged victorious.

As well as this, our Tornados played out their final league game of the season against Hedon Rangers on Sunday. The boys played some excellent football and all showed fantastic endeavour. Ethan and Cameron were named as the MOTM.

U12:

The Hornets played some futsal during midweek and had a productive runout. They separated into two individual teams and enjoyed contests against Market Weighton and Kingswood United Storms.

Our Ambers were on their travels on Wednesday night as they took on Springhead. It was an extremely tough game, but the girls put in a very spirited performance against a a strong side. Phoebe, Charlie and Lacie were all rewarded with POTM trophies. They then played East Riding Rangers Blacks on Saturday in which the entire team put in a tremendous shift. The POTM awards were handed out to Summer, Charlie and Meghan.

On Friday night, our Sharks faced a tough night of futsal action. They came up against a very strong and physical team, but the boys showed terrific strength and resilience. Alan was the star man on the night.

U13:

The Typhoons locked horns with Hessle Rangers Juniors on Tuesday night. The boys all played very well and it culminated in them securing the league title.

Men’s:

The brand new Men’s team had a great first training session on Thursday night at Kinloss. They eased into things with a small sided game and everyone looked comfortable on the ball. Their next training session takes place on Thursday 22nd May from 6:30pm-7:30pm at Kinloss.
