A Week in the Life of KUFC #20

25/06/2024

Incredibly, we’re now onto edition number 20 of our weekly blog entries. Here’s what happened for our teams within the last week:

Soccer School:

We held some brilliant Tuesday night soccer school sessions at Kinloss. All those that attended attempted accuracy in relation to passing through gates. The individual trophies were handed out to Tyler and Oscar.

The Saturday soccer school sessions also saw plenty of children come along to Kinloss. It’s always wonderful to see children developing a love of the game and keen to progress into teams.

Wildcats/Squad Girls:

With a total of 40 girls in attendance, the Wildcats and Squad Girls enjoyed a fantastic session at Kinloss on Wednesday night. Every single one of them had a great time and the trophies were awarded to Hallie, Amy, Belle, Connie, Esmae and Demi.

U7:

Our Piranhas were in tournament action on Saturday and they had an amazing runout. All the boys showed excellent enthusiasm and put in plenty of hard work and effort. Felix and Chael were named as the players of the tournament.

U8:

During midweek, the Lionesses had a good training session in which all the girls enjoyed their night. Aeris was awarded the trainer of the week trophy. On Sunday, they attended the Hessle Rangers tournament and came away with the trophy. The girls put in some incredible performances and received amazing support from the other KUFC teams.

Our Hawks showed a lot of togetherness and determination at the East Riding tournament on Saturday. They played some really tough opposition, but the boys gave it their all and now can’t wait for their next tournament.

U9:

The Leopards had a different sort of training session on Tuesday night. It taught the boys to not just have eyes on the ball and to scan all around them on the pitch. The trainer of the week award was given to Alfie.

On Saturday, our Pumas hosted an amazing presentation day at Tribal Kingswood. Thank you to Awards FC for the outstanding trophies as always!

Meanwhile, the Jaguars took part in the East Riding tournament. The boys were fantastic and all worked hard for each other as a team.

As well as this, the Lynxes had their first presentation night on Saturday night. Every child received a trophy as they’ve all put in a massive amount of hard work and effort throughout the season.

The following day, our Pearls headed to the Hessle Rangers tournament and came away victorious. The girls showed excellent character and teamwork throughout their games and all enjoyed their football.

U10:

The Krystals also attended the Hessle Rangers tournament and had an outstanding showing. After a few weeks off, they got well into the swing of things and emerged victorious after putting in plenty of very good performances.

U11:

The Tornados got their first tournament win as a team in the Hall Road Rangers tournament on Saturday. They played some great football and the Storms and Marvels also took part.

U12:

On Wednesday night, the Hornets had another split session with some of the boys playing futsal and the remaining boys training at Kinloss. They all had a very good experience and are always working hard.

On Sunday, our Ambers took part in the Hessle Rangers tournament and formed two teams to play games. They all played some fantastic football and had a great day. Jimmy’s Ambers just missed out on the final in another cup whilst the Blacks won their final and secured their trophy.

The Sapphires were also at the Hessle Rangers tournament and they had a very good day. They demonstrated brilliant drive, passion and desire which saw them go all the way to the final.

U13:

Our Emeralds exhibited a very productive training session on Tuesday night. They started off with a run and then had some passages drills, a match finished with a penalty shootout. Layla was named as the trainer of the week. They had another good session, a few days later, with Rosie securing the individual trophy.
