A Week in the Life of KUFC #21

Within the last seven days, our teams were yet again producing positive news stories. This is what happened:

Wildcats/Squad Girls:

There were a total of 35 girls that attended the Wildcats and Squad Girls session at Kinloss on Tuesday night. They all had an amazing night with the trophies being received by Matilda, Mia, Clara, Paige, Sophie and Leah.

U7:

The Vipers and Cobras both attended the Hessle Rangers tournament on Saturday. Both teams got to their respective finals as they showed brilliant determination and skill. The boys all supported each other superbly and they had a wonderful day.

On Sunday, our Piranhas went to the Beverley fun day and came away as champions. The entire team played some outstanding football and made it a very good watch for all spectators. Freddie earned himself the player of the tournament award.

U8:

During midweek, our Lionesses held their training session and had a great night. All the girls put in lots of hard work and effort and Hollie was named as the trainer of the week.

On Saturday, the Harriers had their first ever presentation night. The boys absolutely loved it as they had fun bowling and at the arcades and the parents enjoyed having a good laugh. There were three Player of the Season awards given out which were received by Edison, Toby and Arthur.

Our Hawks were also in tournament action on Sunday as they reached the Semi-Finals. It’s a terrific achievement from the boys and they’re looking forward to playing in more tournaments. Jack secured the player of the tournament award.

The Falcons lifted the Euro 2024 trophy at the Hessle Rangers tournament. The boys showed plenty of good football and energy in the games they played and it helped them earn their first trophy of the summer. The player of the tournament trophies were handed out to Archie and Jack.

On Monday night, our Moonstones enjoyed a fabulous fitness session as the girls all had a great time. The entire team were named as the trainers of the week for their attitude, listening skills and how they worked together to make everything go smoothly.

U9:

On Tuesday night, the Leopards were back at it with a wear what you want training session. The boys all worked hard in the shooting practice and the trainers of the week awards went to Jacob and Liam.

On Saturday, our Lynxes participated in the Hessle Rangers tournament. The boys were outstanding throughout and reached the final in their very first season. They can all be very proud of their fantastic achievement.

As well as this, the Lions were in tournament action and earned their first tournament win. They all worked extremely hard and put in some fantastic performances along the way.

The next day, the Jaguars played at the Beverley fun day. The boys put in a big shift which saw them come away with a tournament win.

U10:

The Krystals completed a sponsored walk across the Humber Bridge on Saturday. The parents all gave up their time to help raise funds and everyone wore pink with the dads joining in with it all.

Meanwhile, the Avengers went to the Hedon tournament and emerged victorious. The team have shown lots of strength and resilience over the course of the season which has been rewarded with this magnificent achievement.

The Vikings had a team day out at Laser Station. Instead of holding a presentation, they bonded over laser tag and bowling and smiles.

Our Arrows just missed out on the final of the Champions League at the Hessle Rangers tournament on Sunday. The team showed lots of energy and determination on the pitch, but were unlucky not to progress further than they did.

U11:

Our Storms were in futsal action on Wednesday night. The boys put in a fantastic effort with some good saves, great defending and excellent goals. Olly and Harry were both named as the players of the night.

On Saturday, the Shadows finished runners-up in the Hessle Rangers tournament. They put in a magnificent effort and can take lots of positives from the experience into future tournaments.

In addition to this, our Tornados held their end of season presentation and had a trip to Teamsport Karting. All the boys enjoyed themselves and it was a great way to celebrate what’s been a brilliant season.

The Cyclones were at the Hessle Rangers tournament and they played great football against some excellent teams. The boys were unfortunate not to progress to the final of the Champions League group, but there were plenty of positives to take and they all had smiles on their faces.

U12:

On Wednesday night, the Hornets split themselves in two with some of the boys playing futsal and the others trained at Kinloss. All of them had a very productive night and are working really hard for each other. They were involved in tournament action a few days later where the boys got through a lot of work and took things from the experience to build on.

On Friday night, the Sharks had a terrific futsal session which saw them play four games against a very good East Riding side. All seven of the boys were on top form and Alan earned himself the star player award. They then made their way to the Epworth tournament on Sunday and had an outstanding day. In which, they played excellently and emerged victorious as tournament winners.

KUFC Thunder won the Champions League of the Hessle Rangers tournament on Sunday. It was a big team effort with all the boys showing positive play which resulted in them lifting the trophy.

The Ambers held their end of season presentation and it was a lovely celebration with all the girls and their parents. Thank you to all the parents for the gifts and everyone also watched the England game together.

U13:

In hot conditions, the Emeralds pushed through and had a very good training session on Tuesday night. The girls played some great matches against each other and their energy and passion earned all of them the trainer of the week award.
