16/07/2024

Once again, our teams had a very productive last seven days:

Wildcats/Squad Girls:

On Wednesday night, the Wildcats and Squad Girls had yet another brilliant session at Kinloss. They all got into the Euros spirit and came along in their England/club kits and the trophies were awarded to Sienna, Mia, Scarlett, Lucy J, Charley, Esmae and Daisy P.

U7:

The Piranhas were in tournament action on Sunday and they enjoyed an outstanding experience. They got all the way to the Semi-Finals and the boys can all be very proud of their efforts.

U8:

The Lionesses had a great training session during midweek. Everyone put in plenty of hard work and effort with the trainer of the week award being given to Layla. They then held their presentation ceremony on Sunday at Soccer Sensations and it was a fantastic event. All the girls had smiles on their faces as their achievements were celebrated and they picked up trophies.

On Friday night, our Moonstones hosted their first ever end of season presentation ceremony. It went extremely well and all the girls had a lovely night of celebration after such a brilliant season.

U9:

Led by coach Glenn, the Leopards were back in training on Tuesday night. All the boys worked really hard and Kurtley was the recipient of the trainer of the week award. On Sunday, they participated in the Withernsea tournament where the boys battled hard and put up a good fight against some quality opposition.

Our Pearls held their end of season presentation on Thursday night. It was a wonderful occasion which celebrated the brilliant work put in by all the girls and they’re now looking forward to next season.

Meanwhile, the Lynxes attended the Withernsea tournament on Saturday. The entire team played some brilliant football and are looking forward to attending future tournaments.

The following day, our Tigers emerged victorious in their own tournament experience. All the boys played some magnificent football and demonstrated exceptional teamwork.

U10:

The Vikings enjoyed a fabulous training session during midweek. All the boys were in good spirits and there were plenty of smiles on show. Rylee and Alfie both secured individual accolades. On Sunday, the team undertook a nine mile bike ride which saw them head from Wendy’s in Bilton up to Skirlaugh farm shop and back. This helped raise funds for them to purchase an away kit for the entire team.

In addition to this, our Kings played tournament football on Saturday. The boys exhibited fantastic enthusiasm and all put in a big shift in every game they participated in. Wyatt and Jacob were both named as players of the tournament.

U11:

KUFC Lightning brought their official time with the club to an end with their end of season presentation on Friday night. They had a fantastic turnout and atmosphere and even participated in a bit of Bonkers Bingo.

U12:

On Saturday, the Sharks were also at the Withernsea tournament. They had an outstanding runout and came away as trophy winners. All the boys showed excellent spirit and endeavour throughout the day.

Our Hornets ended their 2023/24 season with their final tournament of the year at Withernsea on Sunday. In wet and miserable weather conditions, the boys enjoyed themselves and showed great individual and team moments. The next day, they held a productive training session which saw everyone work hard and continue building their strength and stamina.

U13:

Our Emeralds had a very productive training session on Tuesday night. In which, the girls continued their preparations for moving up to the U14 age group next season and all put in fantastic work. Willow received the trainer of the week trophy. On Saturday, they took part in another terrific session which saw them work on passing drills and focus their attention on accuracy and control. The trainer of the week trophy was given to Emme.

Ladies:

Kingswood United Ladies took on Great Driffield AFC Ladies in their opening pre-season friendly on Sunday. They had a very good runout and picked up an 8-0 victory thanks to four Mel Walsh goals, a Charlotte Edmondson brace, a Maddy B strike and an own goal.

Men’s:

The Men’s team played their first ever game on Sunday when they faced Greenwood Athletic in a pre-season friendly. It was very good to see all the lads play so well after only a few weeks of training as they won 8-2. On the scoresheet, there were four goals contributed by Harry and individual efforts from Jack, James, Nathan and Ryan.
