A Week in the Life of KUFC #30

In the 30th edition of the weekly blog entries, here’s the latest news stories from within the club:

Soccer School:

We had a great soccer school session on Saturday with coaches Callum and Den. Over 20 children joined us and had lots of fun.

U7:

On Saturday, our Piranhas participated in the Bridlington tournament where they reached the Semi-Finals. Every player played excellently throughout the tournament with the individual accolades going to Sonny and Felix. The following day, they were in friendly action against a newly formed Springhead team. The boys exhibited wonderful team play in both games and great individual skill. Freddie H and Chael both received MOTM awards.

In addition to this, the Pythons and Adders played out a snake derby. Both teams played fantastic football with plenty of good spirit.

U8:

The Falcons were in friendly action against Hull United Whites at Haworth Park on Tuesday night. It was a well contested game between two great sides and everyone put in a good shift.

Last weekend, our Moonstones played their first ever game at Kinloss. The girls put in a fantastic display and played some great passes. The POTM trophies were received by Violet and Naomi.

U9:

The Leopards players, siblings and parents enjoyed some fun at foot golf. It was another fantastic opportunity for some team bonding and everyone had a wonderful time. On Sunday, the boys emerged as plate winners at the Bridlington tournament. It was an unbelievable effort from everyone as they had to dig deep and all of them were fantastic.

U10:

On Tuesday night, our Arrows exhibited an outstanding display in their friendly against Hessle Rangers Eastside. The boys played some tremendous football throughout and all got some more valuable minutes under their belts. The MOTM award was handed out to Lewis. They followed this up with another amazing performance on Sunday against Malet Vikings at Kingswood Academy. It was a well contested matchup between two very good sides and Jake was named as the MOTM.

Meanwhile, the Kings enjoyed a solid training session. Everyone showed fantastic effort and hard work with the trainers of the week awards going to Michael, Jack and Amin.

In addition to this, our Vikings held a great training session. The boys are all excited to start the 2024/25 season and the individual accolades were received by Ollie and Declan. They then teamed up with Pelican United Blacks to train on Saturday and all the boys smashed it.

On Saturday, the Krystals played their final pre-season friendly against a great Malet Belles team. All the girls put in a terrific performance and are always improving. Tallulah and Layla both secured POTM trophies.

U11:

The Storms had a great team building session at North Yorkshire water park on Sunday. There were plenty of laughs all round as the lads all enjoyed themselves.

U12:

KUFC Thunder undertook a sponsored walk to Hornsea on Sunday. This saw them walk 12 miles and raise lots of money for the team before finishing off with some well deserved fish and chips.

U13:

The Emeralds held a top notch training session on Tuesday night. It began with a warmup and was then followed by passing drills which focused on enhancing their attacking and defensive skills. Isla secured the trainer of the week trophy. On Sunday, the girls enjoyed a fabulous day at the East Riding tournament. They got all the way to the Semi-Finals and can definitely take lots of positives from the entire experience. 

U14:

Our Bulldogs had a productive training session on Thursday night. In which, they practised their press and cover. On Sunday, they played a friendly against Westella & Willerby Juniors and had a great runout. The MOTM award was given to Ollie.
