A Week in the Life of KUFC #32

Here’s the latest news from all around the club’s age groups:

Soccer School:

On Tuesday night, the soccer school session focused on finishing under pressure and aiming for the hotspots within the goal. Oscar earned himself the individual trophy.

Led by coach Den, we had two excellent Saturday soccer school sessions at Kinloss. Everyone had a great time and all enjoyed their morning.

Wildcats/Squad Girls/Cubs:

In their biggest ever session, a total of 48 girls came along to Kinloss on Wednesday night. Everyone had an absolutely brilliant time with the individual trophies going to Maisie, Amy W, Amaiah, Poppy B and Connie M.

U7:

The Piranhas had drills involving their dribbling and shooting skills within their training session on Wednesday night. Hudson secured the trainer of the week award.

U8:

Our Pythons played their final pre-season friendly against Hull Cosmos on Wednesday night. They delivered stellar performances in two action packed games and the MOTM awards were received by Bobby and Alfie C. The team locked horns with FC Esperanza 1295 on Sunday to commence their league season. Both teams played fantastic football and it was an awesome match to watch. The MOTM trophies went to Freddie and Charlie.

Our newest girls team the Tigresses played their first competitive game on Saturday. All of the players have progressed from the Wildcats and it’s fantastic to see them playing.

U9:

On Wednesday night, the Lionesses held a fantastic training session. All the girls put in lots of hard work and effort with Lucy earning herself the trainer of the week trophy. They then held a fundraising event at Asda Bilton on Saturday which saw them bring in over £500. Fantastic work by all involved.

On Sunday, the Falcons started their league campaign with a trip to FC Esperanza 2032. The boys exhibited some wonderful football and took to the new dribble/pass in rules very well. The recipients of the MOTM trophies were Jack and Noah.

In addition to this, our Hawks were on the road at Hornsea. They defended well and the collective effort from the whole team was great to see. Oliver and Jackson received the MOTM awards.

Meanwhile, the Harriers headed to Hessle Rangers Colts where they contested two very entertaining games. Kristupas and Arthur both took home MOTM trophies.

U10:

Our Lynxes started their U10 phase with a really well fought encounter against a good Springhead Rangers side on Sunday. There was some great passing, defending and attacking play on display and the entire team can be proud of their effort. The MOTM awards were collected by Lennon and Iestyn.

Meanwhile, the Leopards travelled to Driffield. The two sides put in terrific displays and left everything on the pitch. Oliver, Jake and Jenson all picked up MOTM trophies.

Our Jaguars also managed to get themselves in match action as they exhibited a fabulous display. They played silky football and showed some very impressive passing moves. Carter and Albie received the MOTM trophies.

U11:

The Vikings had a productive training session during midweek. All the boys put in a big shift with the trainer of the week awards given to Coban and George. On Sunday, the boys began their league campaign and had an amazing performance. They all came off the pitch very proud and the MOTM awards were given to Ollie and Rylee.

On Saturday, our Krystals had a tough encounter against Hessle Rangers. The girls fought hard throughout the game and dug deep to put in a very good performance. Amelia and Jess B were the recipients of the POTM trophies.

In addition to this, the Hotspurs had a closely fought contest with Hessle Sporting Giants on Sunday. They played some very good football and well done to Oscar, Raf and Alfie on earning MOTM awards.

Our Kings took on Hall Road Rangers in their opening league match. It was a well played game between two very good sides and all spectators were treated to lots of entertainment. The MOTM trophies were handed to Jude, Wyatt, Max and Jack.

The Arrows and Avengers took on each other as they both prepared for their respective league campaigns. Everyone put in a brilliant performance and got some more valuable minutes in the tank. For the Arrows, Jacob and Tristan were named as the MOTM.

U12:

The Shadows faced a very strong Hessle Sporting Wolves team on Sunday in their first league game of the campaign. All the boys exhibited a good display and Teejay picked up the MOTM trophy after he made some great saves.

Our Marvels headed to Withernsea and put in a fantastic performance. The boys showed some great through balls and link-up play between midfield and attack. Leon and Charlie B were named as the MOTM.

The Tornados kicked off their league season with a clash against Bridlington Rovers at Kinloss. Both sides played excellent football and made it an enter spectacle for all spectators. Travis earned himself the MOTM trophy.

U13:

Our Hornets worked on things including fitness and possession in their training session on Wednesday night. It was a great effort from the boys and Dylan was named as the trainer of the week. They began their league campaign with a match against Hall Road Rangers on Sunday and put in a strong performance. Lewis and Max both received MOTM awards. On Monday night, the boys had another very productive training session.

On Sunday, the Sharks started their league season with a trip to Riley Rangers. They played some amazing football and were an absolute joy to watch. Noel was named as the MOTM.

U14:

On Tuesday night, our Emeralds enjoyed a great training session. They engaged in a thorough warm-up and focused on various drills with Alexa picking up the trainer of the week award. The girls had an away match at Bridlington Rovers on Saturday. It was an exciting contest with some good play on display from both teams. Halle, Alexa and Hannah all secured individual accolades.

The Typhoons faced a really tough test in their first league match of the season. In an end-to-end encounter, the lads dug deep throughout and came away with lots of positives to build on. David, Logan and Humza all secured MOTM awards.

U15:

The Bulldogs did the bleep test in their fitness session on Tuesday night. As well as this, they did a bit of circuit training and a good workout was had by all. They focused on defending, pass and cover and played some three touch football in their Thursday night training session. On Sunday, the boys had a trip to Hedon Rangers. They put in an outstanding display in their first league game of the season and the MOTM awards were received by Rio and Jayden.

Our Rubys played their opening league match on Saturday against Springhead at Kingswood Academy. It was a cracking game to watch between two evenly matched teams and everyone put in a top shift.

The following day, the Warriors started their league season with a game against East Riding. They put in a tremendous performance which saw them play plenty of very good passes and win battles all over the pitch. Reji and Xander both secured the MOTM awards.

Men’s:

On Saturday, the men’s team secured a 9-0 away win over Hedon Rangers Academy. Nathan Sewell and Lewis Malton both secured braces whilst Archie Moon, Ryan Sewell, Alex Wray, Harry Moon and Jack Patterson also got their names on the scoresheet. Malton and Wray were both named as the MOTM.

Ladies:

Kingswood United Ladies hosted Cherry Burton Ladies at Kingswood Academy on Sunday and picked up a 3-2 victory. They did so thanks to a Mel Walsh hat-trick and the POTM award was handed to Claire Hughes.
