In this week’s blog entry, here’s the latest news from within the club:
Soccer School:
We hosted a wonderful soccer school session on Tuesday night at Kinloss. Those that attended worked on identifying teammates within a crowd and keeping possession through pass and move. The individual accolades were given to Thomas, Hudson and Allen.
Cubs/Wildcats/Squad Girls:
There was another record breaking attendance for the Cubs, Wildcats and Squad Girls session at Kinloss on Wednesday night as 49 girls attended. They all had a great experience and the trophies were awarded to Matilda, Olivia, Miyah, Leila, Maisey and Amelia.
U7:
Our Piranhas exhibited wonderful effort in their training session on Wednesday night. They had shooting and 2v1 drills and also played a game where they took everything they learnt into it. Freddie D earned himself the trainer of the week trophy. On Sunday, they played their first league game of the season against Market Weighton. The boys played well and all showed outstanding effort with the MOTM trophies going to Hudson and Freddie H.
U8:
The Pythons had an away game at Costello Panthers on Sunday. They faced a strong team and fought hard all over the pitch. Freddie and Bobby both secured MOTM trophies.
U9:
On Saturday, the Lionesses began their league season with a very enthralling encounter against Hessle Rangers. They played some tremendous football and worked so well together as a team against incredibly tough opposition. Hollie earned herself the coaches POTM award whilst the entire team received the parents’ POTM vote.
The next day, our Hawks played out a very good game of football against Hall Road Rangers Whites. There was some great play on display from the boys and the MOTM awards were handed out to George and Ethan.
The Harriers played out two enthralling games with Barham. In which, the boys worked extremely hard as a team and played some good football. Kaylan, Stanley and Arthur all secured MOTM accolades.
Our Falcons were also in action as they welcomed Hedon Rangers to Kinloss. The teams contested two very entertaining games and were fully committed with some brilliant tackling and work rates on show. Noah and Jack claimed the MOTM awards.
On Monday night, the Moonstones enjoyed a brilliant training session. Braving far from ideal weather conditions, the girls stayed on their toes and got themselves ready for upcoming games. Georgie took home the trainer of the week award.
U10:
The Lynxes had a fantastic training session on Wednesday night. They showed good build up play including passing and moving with possession and retaining the ball. The boys were then in action on Sunday against Sproatley Juniors. It was a very close contest with some top football on display from both sides.
Last weekend, our Leopards travelled to Haworth Park to take on Hull United Blacks. The sides played out two entertaining games as all the boys left everything out on the pitch. Archie, Alfie and Liam were all named as the MOTM.
The Jaguars also had a game which pitted them against Elloughton. The boys fought hard against tough opposition and all played some entertaining football. Parker, Col and Remy all secured individual trophies.
U11:
On Thursday night, our Kings headed to Peel Street for a training game against Peel Project. It was an excellent match of football between two very good sides who competed well throughout. Jack, Jacob, Ben and Annie all secured individual awards.
The Krystals had a trip to Malet Belles on Saturday. All the girls dug deep and did everything they practiced in training including keeping possession and staying calm under pressure. Well done to Darcey, Jess B and Chloe on earning POTM awards.
Our Hotspurs had a terrific runout on Sunday against Westella & Willerby. Every player exhibited a wonderful display and the MOTM awards were picked up by Ethan and Zac.
As well as this, the Vikings had a brilliant game. The entire team absolutely smashed it and all worked very hard. Rylee and Declan were the recipients of the MOTM awards.
Our Arrows started their league season with a massively entertaining game against Springhead Spartans. The boys played some superb football and all showed amazing work rate. The MOTM trophies were acquired by Jacob and Lewis.
U12:
On Sunday, the Cyclones locked horns with Bridlington Rangers Jets. The entire team put in a solid performance and showcased some great passing, heading of the ball and kept their shape really well. Philip, Chinaemeze and George were the individual award winners.
Meanwhile, our Marvels took on Priory Cougars and enjoyed a very confident display. All the boys were keen to be on the ball and looked to win back possession quickly. Charlie P and Jacob both received MOTM awards.
In addition to this, the Tornadoes faced Elloughton Blues in Brough. They put in a superb team performance and it was a game of passing, moving and bravery. The MOTM trophies were took home by Riley and Peter.
U13:
On Tuesday night, the Ambers held a great training session. There was some good football on display and the trainer of the week awards went to Daisy and Imogen. The girls then played out a wonderful game on Saturday which saw them battle for each other and show outstanding teamwork. The POTM trophies were secured by Gracie, Meghan and Lacie.
The following night, the Hornets went to soccer sensations for their training session. All the boys played fantastic football and the trainer of the week award was received by Taylor. They then put in a fantastic performance in their away game at Hessle on Sunday. The MOTM awards went to Tyler, Taylor and Harvey.
On Sunday, KUFC Thunder headed to Springhead Rangers. The boys played excellently as a team and there was lots of positive encouragement and support for each other. Ollie R and Ollie D both secured MOTM trophies.
U14:
Our Emeralds enjoyed a productive training session on Tuesday night. The team engaged in a variety of drills which focused on stamina and passing and concluded with a defence vs attack game. Hannah was named as the trainer of the week. They then had their second league game of the season on Saturday which pitted them against Driffield. It was an energetic encounter with some fantastic play by both sides. Ednah, Alissia, Halle and Alexa all took home individual accolades.
U15:
The Bulldogs worked on recovery in their fitness session on Tuesday night. They put in some fantastic work which saw them undertake sprints and then had some circuit training. On Thursday night, the boys undertook some training drills which focused on pass and move. They faced AFC Tickton Jaguars on Sunday in what was a tough encounter. Everyone showed some good character and played great football at times with the MOTM trophies awarded to James and Ollie B.
On Saturday, our Rubys exhibited an amazing display at South Cave. It was a battling performance against both the wind and some fantastic players which all the girls can be massively proud of. Brooke and Poppy both received POTM awards.
The Warriors had an away day against Costello on Sunday. The boys put in great effort and work rate, but came up against tough opposition. The MOTM awards went to Liam and Dhillon.
Ladies:
Kingswood United Ladies earned a third consecutive league victory as they defeated Brandesburton Ladies 3-1 on Sunday. Mel Walsh bagged a brace and Emily Myers grabbed a goal. Myers also earned the POTM award.
Vets:
Our vets side hosted AFC Willerby at Kingswood Academy on Sunday and made it two league games unbeaten with a 4-4 draw. Mark Thompson, Danny Moon, Sam Ellerington and Sean Lyons all got their names on the scoresheet.
