A Week in the Life of KUFC #34

In the last seven days, this is what our teams got up to:

Cubs/Wildcats/Squad Girls:

It was amazing to see a total of 55 girls come along to the Cubs, Wildcats and Squad Girls session at Kinloss on Wednesday night. All those that attended had an absolutely incredible experience.

U7:

On Wednesday night, the Piranhas exhibited wonderful endeavour in their training session. All the boys put in lots of hard work with the drills and the session ended with a fun match. The trainer of the week award was received by Chael. They then took on Hessle Sporting Warriors on Sunday in what was a tough game. Everyone put in a big shift on the pitch and the MOTM trophies were accrued by Henley and Felix.

U8:

Our Pythons had a very productive training session on Tuesday night. In which, they focused on positioning and emphasised the importance of not rushing when in possession of the ball. On Sunday, they put in a great performance against Hall Road Rangers and all the boys were full of energy. The coaches MOTM award went to the whole team and the parents MOTM trophy was received by Freddie.

The Cobras showcased some fantastic football in their away game at Thorngumbald Barrons Yellows. Every player did what was asked of them and it resulted in some quality moves. Jay-Jay and Miller picked up the MOTM trophies.

U9:

In their training session on Wednesday night, the Lionesses worked on passing and finding space. Aeris was named as the trainer of the week. On Saturday, the girls had an away game at Hessle Sporting where they exhibited a fantastic display and Layla and Abbie secured the POTM trophies. The following day, the girls enjoyed a wonderful experience at the Kids against Cancer tournament on Sir Henry Cooper Park. They helped raise £578 for Cancer Research UK and MacMillan Cancer Support.

As well as this, our Moonstones welcomed Sporting Club Hull to Kinloss on Saturday. All the girls put in brilliant effort and played some wonderful football. Chloe, Violet and Georgie all earned POTM awards.

The Falcons were on their travels on Sunday as they played against Springhead. They exhibited an amazing performance and the football on show was an absolute joy to watch. Well done to Ellis and Gabriel on securing MOTM trophies.

Our Harriers locked horns with Hedon Rangers at Kinloss. The boys worked really well as a team and played with confidence and a smile on their face. The MOTM awards went to Stanley, Achillies and Kaylan.

In their game, the Hawks put in a tremendous team performance and played some outstanding football. Musab and Rapha both secured MOTM accolades.

U10:

On Sunday, the Lynxes had an away match against Springhead Spartans. The boys had an amazing performance which saw them showcase great defending and exciting attacking play. The MOTM awards were handed to Oliver and Freddie.

In addition to this, our Leopards faced Cottingham Rangers at Hull University. The teams played out two good games of football and everyone had a great display. Kurtley, Jacob and Jake were all named as the MOTM.

The Tigers entertained East Riding Rangers at Kinloss and the boys put in a great performance. They played some good passages of play and the MOTM trophies were awarded to Beau, Spencer and Freddie.

U11:

The Vikings were hard at work on Wednesday night with a very good training session. Alfie secured himself the trainer of the week accolade. The boys then exhibited a very positive display in their game on Sunday. Declan and Harry both took home MOTM awards.

On Saturday, our Krystals played a 7v7 friendly which ensured the girls all got a minimum of 30 minutes game time. This put them in excellent stead in for future league matches.

Meanwhile, the Arrows enjoyed a fabulous experience in the Junior Futsal tournament. The boys progressed all the way to the Semi-Finals and put in some outstanding performances. Lewis earned himself the MVP award. On Sunday, they faced the Kings at Kingswood Academy and it was a fantastic match up between two excellent sides. For the Arrows, Archie and Will were named as their MOTM. The MOTM trophies for the Kings were awarded to Max R, Blessing, Michael and Jack.

Our Avengers welcomed a spirited Driffield side to Kinloss on Sunday. The sides contested an entertaining game with plenty of positives to take and things to work on for the boys.

U12:

On Sunday, our Cyclones locked horns with Hessle Rangers Colts. The team had an excellent runout and played some terrific through balls along with excellent link up play. Ollie, Harley and Bella all took home individual awards.

The Tornadoes experienced a difficult game against Cottingham Rangers Vipers at Hull University. Despite this, the boys put in a real shift and can take positives from it into upcoming matches. The MOTM accolades went to Alex and Horatio.

U13:

On Tuesday night, our Ambers held a great training session. It was full of laughs for all the girls and the trainer of the week trophy was given to Charlie.

The Hornets worked on space awareness and moving to receive the ball in their training session on Wednesday night. The boys all did really well with everything and Jacob received the trainer of the week award.

Meanwhile, our Sharks had a tricky encounter with Cottingham Rangers on Sunday. The boys worked hard throughout the game with the individual accolade going to Will.

U14:

On Saturday, the Emeralds took on a strong Driffield side. The whole team fought hard and showed lots of strength and resilience throughout the game. The individual awards were given to Halle, Ava and Hannah.

Our Typhoons had a tough game on Sunday. They dug deep and put in a spirited performance with the MOTM awards going to David and Humza.

U15:

Our Bulldogs had their usual fitness training session on Tuesday night. This saw them take part in 1v1 sprints, a group jog, more sprints and ended by working on recovery.

The Rubys were in action on Saturday and they delivered an excellent performance against Tickton. They showcased some lovely one-twos, great through balls and determined defending and the POTM awards were received by Jessie and Hannah.

Men’s:

Our men’s team defeated Greenwood Athletic 6-0 in the First Round of the Harold Robinson Cup at Kingswood Academy on Saturday. James Preston and Nathan Sewell both bagged braces with the other goals coming from Archie Moon and Matthew Jones.

Ladies:

Kingswood United Ladies claimed a 6-1 victory over Bridlington Rovers Ladies in the East Riding Women’s Cup at Kingswood Academy on Sunday. Charlotte Edmondson grabbed a brace and there were also goals from Sara Croughan, Holly Richardson, Lucy Grantham and Mel Walsh. The POTM award was handed to Paytan Grayson.
