Here’s the latest roundup of all the news from around the club:
Soccer School:
In the last couple of weeks, we’ve hosted some great Tuesday night soccer school sessions. All those that attended had a very enjoyable time and the trophies went to Jack, Reuban, Max and Sawyer.
Cubs/Wildcats/Squad Girls:
There were a total of 42 girls that attended the Cubs, Wildcats and Squad Girls session on Wednesday night. They all had a fantastic time and the individual awards were given to Ayva, Indi, Sophia, Maci, Lucy, Rosaleigh, Poppy and Maisie.
U7:
On Wednesday night, the Piranhas worked very hard in their training session. They focused on their dribbling, had a penalty shootout and finished with a 4v3 match. Felix earned the trainer of the week trophy. On Sunday, the boys put in a big shift against FC Esperanza as they showed great teamwork and made some very good passes. Sonny and Chael picked up the MOTM trophies.
U9:
The Lionesses had a very good training session on Wednesday night. In which, the girls all put in excellent effort and Febiee was named as the trainer of the week. On Saturday, they headed to Wold Academy to face Costello Jaguars and everyone put in an outstanding display. Lucy was named as the club girl and the POTM awards went to Aeris and Betsy.
Our Moonstones put in some terrific work in their training session during midweek. They worked on a number of things and put themselves in excellent stead for upcoming games. The trainer of the week award was handed to Maisie. On Monday night, they held another terrific training session and there were plenty of laughs had by everyone.
On Sunday, the Falcons welcomed Hessle Rangers to Kinloss and the teams played out two very entertaining games. The boys showed great character and a real willingness to work hard for each other. The MOTM awards went to Jack and Noah.
The Harriers put in a fantastic display at Springhead Rangers where they played some exciting football. Kristupas and Seth were the recipients of the MOTM trophies.
Our Hawks locked horns with a well drilled East Riding Rangers Blacks team in a hard fought contest. The boys all stuck together and showed fantastic work rate. Pearce and George secured MOTM accolades.
U10:
On Sunday, our Leopards traveled to Hessle Rangers Galacticos. All the boys left everything on the pitch and put in some big tackles throughout the game. The MOTM trophies were acquired by Jake, Harry and Archie.
The Lynxes locked horns with Hull United Reds at Kinloss and they put in an amazing shift. Roman and Charlie both collected MOTM awards.
U11:
During midweek, our Vikings enjoyed a great training session. Everyone exhibited fantastic endeavour with the trainer of the week award going to Rylee. They went on to have an amazing game on Sunday which saw the boys dig deep and show outstanding team spirit. Ollie and Coban took home the MOTM awards.
On Saturday, the Krystals hosted a new Barton team at Kinloss. The girls put in a strong performance and they enjoyed trying new positions all over the pitch. The POTM awards were collected by Eliza and Flo.
The Avengers exhibited a tremendous performance in their game against Cottingham Rangers on Sunday. It was a fantastic all round team performance with the individual trophies handed to Cayson and Joshua.
In addition to this, our Kings headed to Hessle Rangers Juniors where they played out a brilliant game of football. Jacob, Annie, Jacob and Jude all received POTM awards.
Within their game at Hedon, the Arrows showcased some sublime football and treated all spectators to an end-to-end game. The MOTM trophies were awarded to Jacob and Theo.
U12:
The Cyclones had a difficult game against Barham AFC Blues on Sunday. It was a big learning experience for the team and they took things from it to work on for future matches. The individual award winners were Louie, Noah and Bella.
Our Tornados played some fantastic football in their encounter with Hedon Rangers. Riley, Cam and Zayn received the MOTM awards.
U13:
In their training session on Wednesday night, the Hornets worked on quick passes, calling for the ball, working hard to get the ball back and also their shooting and finishing. Riley picked up the trainer of the week award.
Our Ambers came up against a strong Malet Lambert side on Saturday. It was an excellent game to watch for all spectators and the girls had a great runout. Lacie, Charlie and Bell were the recipients of the POTM trophies. The following day, they were mascots at the Hull City Ladies match and had a wonderful time.
Meanwhile, the Sapphires put in a dominant display in their game. They all showed amazing determination and effort and the POTM awards were secured by Demi and Georgia.
On Sunday, KUFC Thunder were away at Tickton Thunder and it was a good battle between two great teams.
The Sharks welcomed Westella & Willerby to Kingswood Academy and they put in an excellent display. The boys showed great strength all over the pitch and won their individual battles. Logan was named as the MOTM.
U14:
On Saturday, the Emeralds played out a really tight contest against Bridlington Rovers. Each girl held their own and did excellent work all over the pitch with the individual accolades going to Nat, Ednah and Immie. They then enjoyed a very productive training session on Monday night where they worked on drills including running and passing and finished with a match. Alissia earned herself the trainer of the week award.
U15:
On Thursday night, our Bulldogs enjoyed a productive training session. They worked on attacking and defending corners before playing a ten minute game.
Men’s:
The men’s team were in County Cup action on Saturday as they hosted Wareham Forest at Kingswood Academy. Unfortunately, they suffered a 2-1 defeat and exited the competition.
Ladies:
Kingswood United Ladies took on Malet Lambert YC Ladies in the Second Round of the League Cup at Kingswood Academy on Sunday. After going 3-0 down, a Mel Walsh hat-trick made it 3-3 at full-time before Malet Lambert won 4-2 in a subsequent penalty shootout. Holly Richardson picked up the POTM trophy.
Vets:
Our vets side earned a 3-2 victory over Kingburn Athletic at South Hunsley on Sunday. They did so thanks to a hat-trick from Sam Ellerington and it puts them top of the Hull & District Veterans League Division One table.
