A Week in the Life of KUFC #37

Here’s all the latest news from the club’s age groups:

Cubs/Wildcats/Squad Girls:

There were a total of 36 girls that participated in the Cubs, Wildcats and Squad Girls session. Harper, Layla, Calise, Lucy P and Amaiah all took home individual trophies.

U7:

On Wednesday night, our Piranhas had a crossing and shooting drill and also played a match in their training session. Sonny earned himself the individual accolade. They then had a great game against a tough Hessle Rangers side on Sunday. All the boys worked hard for each other and showcased some fantastic defending. The MOTM awards were acquired by Freddie H and Sonny.

U8:

The Pythons hosted Skirlaugh Red Rockets on Sunday and put in a great display. The boys competed very well against their strong opposition and the MOTM awards went to Bobby and Alfie A.

U9:

Our Moonstones got through lots of work within their training session on Tuesday night. The girls worked on things including corners and kick/dribble ins. Piper and Aoife both secured individual accolades. They then put in a fantastic performance in their game against Hessle Koalas on Saturday as all the girls played really well. Maisie and Aoife picked up POTM awards.

On Wednesday night, the Lionesses enjoyed a fun training session. Sophia was named as the trainer of the week. On Saturday, the team were in cup action against Cottingham Wolves at Kinloss and they exhibited an outstanding display. The girls had their first experience of a penalty shootout and absolutely enjoyed it. The individual awards were received by Belle, Isla and Betsy.

On Sunday, our Falcons braved wet and windy conditions as they faced Elloughton. The entire team put in an excellent display and played some wonderful passes all over the pitch. Oliver F and Archie were the recipients of the MOTM trophies.

In addition to this, the Hawks battled hard in their match against Barham AFC. They grew into the game and displayed some terrific passing moves. Percy and Ethan were named as the MOTM.

The Harriers entertained Hall Road Rangers Cobras at Kinloss and the sides contested two hard fought games. In the second matchup, the boys took control and showcased some good pressing and link up play. The MOTM awards were handed to Kristupas, Ryan and Stanley.

U10:

Our Leopards held a challenging training session on Tuesday night which saw the boys work on stuff including crossing and striking balls first time. Jacob and Blake received trainer of the week trophies. On Sunday, they played out a very competitive encounter at Brandesburton with the individual trophies awarded to Charlie, Harry and Alfie.

On Monday night, the Lions began their futsal journey with a tough opening fixture. The boys learnt a lot from the experience and are looking forward to playing more games.

U11:

In their training session, the Vikings exhibited fantastic endeavour and work rate. Ollie picked up the trainer of the week award. They exhibited a very good performance within their game on Sunday and didn’t let the strong wind affect them. Elijah and Alfie both secured MOTM awards.

The Kings enjoyed an excellent training session on Thursday night with Henry, Amin and Blessing all earning themselves trainer of the week awards. The boys then put in a big shift in their match on Sunday and all did very well. Jacob, Ben, Blessing and Max R took home MOTM trophies.

On Saturday, our Arrows made their debut in the Junior Futsal Series which saw them lock horns with Hull Eagles Futsal Academy at Hull University. They played some amazing stuff and all had a very enjoyable experience. The following day, they played an end-to-end game against Hessle Rangers Juniors at Kingswood Academy. All the boys played their part in a wonderful performance and the individual accolades went to Harvie and Jayden.

Meanwhile, the Krystals had an away game at Hull United. The girls battled hard throughout and played their socks off. Jess B, Darcey and Flo all secured POTM trophies.

U13:

On Tuesday night, our Ambers enjoyed a great training session as all the girls put in plenty of top work and effort. The trainer of the week awards were handed to Bella and Lacie.

The Hornets worked very hard in their training session during midweek. The trainer of the week award was given to Thomas K.

Our Sharks locked horns with Hessle Azzurri on Sunday and put in a strong performance in horrible weather conditions. All the lads did their bit as they got the ball down and played some great football. Freddie earned himself the MOTM award.

U14:

On Saturday, the Emeralds faced East Riding Rangers in a wet and soggy cup clash. The girls dominated proceedings from the start and played some outstanding football. Nat, Willow and Jess picked up the POTM awards. They then had an amazing training session on Monday night where they demonstrated brilliant dedication and teamwork. Willow was named as the trainer of the week.

U15:

Our Warriors had a tough encounter with Hull United on Sunday. They played some good football and can take positives from the game to build on in upcoming matches. Dylan and Josh received the MOTM awards.

The Bulldogs locked horns with Hessle Sporting Galactics and put in a superb team performance. After a slow start, they took hold of the game and played some great football. The MOTM trophies were awarded to Finn and Max.

Men’s:

The men’s team faced Withernsea United at Kingswood Academy on Saturday in East Riding County League Division Three action. After being three goals down, they secured a 5-3 win thanks to goals from Nathan Sewell, Archie Moon, James Preston, Ryan Sewell and Gift Samuel.

Ladies:

On Sunday, Kingswood United Ladies were in East Riding Women’s Cup action against AFC Preston Ladies. They were unfortunately knocked out of the competition following an 8-0 defeat. Claire Hughes was named as the POTM.

Vets:

Our vets side earned a 6-1 victory against LIV Supplies at Kingswood Academy on Sunday. Gary Hodgson and Sam Ellerington both bagged braces and the other goals were scored by Jon Kerr and Jordan Harrison.
