In the last seven days, here are the latest news stories from all around the club:
Wildcats/Squad Girls:
There were a total of 27 girls that participated in the Wildcats and Squad Girls session on Wednesday night. Everyone had an excellent time and the trophies were awarded to Layla D, Maci and Clara.
U7:
During midweek, the Piranhas held a great training session. They worked on stuff including passing and practicing their footwork. Sonny picked up the trainer of the week trophy. On Sunday, the boys faced Springhead in a game that was played in great spirits. The MOTM trophies were awarded to Felix and Henley.
U8:
On Tuesday night, the Adders played futsal for the first time as they contested five games against East Riding. The boys did well with finding space and looking for passes.
Our Pythons took on Springhead Spartans on Sunday and the sides contested a hard fought contest. The boys battled well all over the pitch and dug in deep. Billy and Theo picked up the MOTM awards.
U9:
Our Lionesses played some team games and worked on dribbling, passing and moving in their training session on Wednesday night. Alissia was named as the trainer of the week. The girls were then in cup Quarter-Final action away at Costello Jaguars on Saturday and put in an amazing display in wet conditions to continue their run in their first cup competition. The individual awards were received by Abbie, Sophia and Belle.
On Thursday night, the Hawks hosted a very good training session. The boys had drills which saw them practice their passing and they all put in a top shift. The trainer of the week trophy was awarded to Pearce. They then played out two really well contested games with Beverley Town Tigers on Sunday and it was overall a fantastic effort from the boys. The recipients of the MOTM awards were George and Rapha.
The Falcons exhibited lots of hard work and effort in their training session on Friday night. Everyone enjoyed the session and Vinnie took home the individual award. They entertained a strong Beverley Bulldogs team at Kinloss in their penultimate phase one fixture and both sides played in great spirits. The MOTM trophies were awarded to Freddie and Gabriel.
Our Moonstones welcomed Elloughton Blackburn to Kinloss on Saturday and faced a tough challenge. However, the girls all showed a terrific attitude and can be proud of their efforts. Piper and Naomi both secured individual accolades.
On Sunday, our Harriers played their last away game of 2024. They constantly worked hard to win the ball back and moved into good positions to make space for teammates to move forward with the ball. Kaylan, Kristupas and Jaxon earned themselves the MOTM trophies.
U10:
Our Tigers had a trip to Beverley Vikings on Sunday and knew that it was going to be a tough battle. All the boys showed outstanding effort and determination and can be very proud of their collective shift. Archie secured the MOTM trophy.
The Lynxes locked horns with Cottingham Rangers and put in a fantastic performance. Everyone put in a massive shift and congrats to Oliver and Lennon on earning the MOTM awards.
As well as this, the Lions played four futsal games on Monday night and had a very enjoyable time.
U11:
On Wednesday night, our Vikings exhibited wonderful effort in their training session. Elliott earned himself the individual accolade. They put in a very impressive performance in their game on Sunday which included some good passing and moving. Max and Elliott received the MOTM trophies.
The Arrows were in futsal action on Saturday as they locked horns with Hull Eagles Futsal Academy Reds. In an end-to-end game, the boys put in a top display and Ellis was named as the MVP. The next day, they played out a very entertaining game against Hall Road Rangers at Dene Park. Both sides gave everything on the pitch and the MOTM awards were acquired by Jacob and Jayden.
In addition to this, our Krystals had an away tie against Beverley in the cup. The girls fought until the very end and did themselves proud. Abi and Eliza were named as the POTM.
The Kings had a great runout in their game on Sunday. Everyone worked very hard and the individual trophies were given to Ben, Freddie, Jack and Henry.
U13:
The Hornets held two brilliant training sessions in which they worked on passing, movement and calling for the ball and then focused on crosses, retention of the ball and recycling it. Ewan picked up the individual award. They traveled to Market Weighton on Sunday where they exhibited a great display and were made to work hard by their opposition. Callum and Cade received the MOTM awards.
On Saturday, our Ambers faced off against Springhead Falcons in the cup. They exhibited a very good performance and the POTM trophies were given to Scarlett and Charlie.
The Sharks experienced a tough encounter with FT Yorkshire on Sunday. They showed great work rate for the entirety of the game and will go again next week. The MOTM trophy was took home by Walter.
U14:
Our Emeralds gave it their all in a tough game on Saturday. They can be proud of their effort, teamwork and resilience on the pitch with the individual awards handed to Hannah, Alexa and Ednah. On Monday night, the girls worked on perfecting their corners and the hard work definitely paid off. Isla acquired the trainer of the week trophy.
The next day, the Typhoons had a very close encounter against a determined Hessle Sporting Condors side. The entire team defended well and created plenty of chances throughout the game. Blake and Liam collected the MOTM awards.
U15:
On Sunday, the Bulldogs headed to Mill Lane United and put in a magnificent performance. The lads exhibited true grit and character and were all named as the MOTM.
Ladies:
Kingswood United Ladies saw their unbeaten run come to an end as they unfortunately suffered a 4-2 defeat against Cottingham Rangers Ladies at Kingswood Academy on Sunday. Maddy Burgin and Holly Richardson both got their names on the scoresheet and Burgin was also named as the POTM.
Vets:
Our vets side remain at the top of the Hull & District Veterans League Division One table after earning a 3-2 victory over Waterloo on Sunday. They did so courtesy of a Danny Moon brace and Matt Crane effort.
