Where did our Winter go?
How time flies when you are living and breathing football every day!
Its been great seeing so much football being played this season compared to the horrendous previous winters. The financial investment and amount of volunteer hours at Kinloss has seen only two weekends being cancelled due to unfit pitches on site.
The amount of games being played on site continuously has seen heavy wear and the need to rotate and rest them, thank you to those teams for accomodating our requests to switch venues!
So apart from improving pitches, what else have we been busy doing...
At our last managers and coaches meeting we revealed the clubs ambitious plans regarding facilities. I'd hope everyone is aware of the Bude Park Development which is due for completition in June and will see a new pavilion being built and drainage to the newly laid grass pitches!
We have also had concept designs drawn up for remodeling Kinloss and also another plot of land which will be going through planning application shortly. We've held meetings with both the FA and other companies in relation to building our own 3G and fit for purpose club house. All the plans and costings were shared at the last meeting and we will be doing so again at the upcoming Parent Liaison meeting on the 24th March. We are certainly looking at a substantial investment but this is something which is very achievable and much needed for our club to continue to grow and be sustainable for the future. The amount of funds spent on external facility hire is increasing each year and we are still struggling to find quality reliable venues.
The Club has also now formed links with Kingswood Knights Rugby Club and moved under the umbrella of Kingswood Sports CIO. This allows greater access to funding and grants for facillities and community engagement programmes. Those who have visited Kinloss recently may have noticed the new signage and CCTV now installed on site which was funded by the Police Commissioners Fund. We have also received funding for picnic benches and an outdoor shelter which we are told will be installed in April.
Kingswood Sports CIO has its own dedicated website with the sole purpose of sharing all the news, events, various sports sessions and courses we provide across our different partners. It also has the ability to generate funds by selecting us a chosen charity thus entitling Gift Aid to be claimed on all of our fundraising events!!
For the future ambitions of the club, we are looking to generate £300K through fundraising, donotations and sponsorships. We will be planning various events in the future with the sole purpose to improve the faciities we provide for eveyone.
Your support as always is greatly appreciated!
